Rules Of The Competition

  • Team nomination forms must be completed in full, confirmation of team acceptance into competition will not be confirmed until deposit is paid in full prior to first fixture.
  • League points will be awarded on a three (3) for a win and one (1) for a draw basis.
  • Teams of ten (10) players, being six (6) on the field and two (2) interchangeable substitutes per match.
  • All substitutions are to occur with the consent of the Referee when the ball is out of play.
  • All players of a team must wear the same colour shirt, other than the goalkeeper who must be clearly definable.

STUDDED BOOTS AND BLADES ARE NOT PERMITTED.
  • Matches will be twenty (20) minutes each way, straight turn around at half time.
  • Goalkeepers must not play the ball outside of the D, infringement will incur a penalty free kick to the opposing side.
  • On field players (all players other than the goalkeeper) may not play the ball inside the D, infringement will incur either a direct free kick from where the offence occurred or a penalty if a defender plays the ball inside his own D.
  • Penalty kicks will be taken from the top of the D central to the goal and is to be taken off 2 steps.
  • For all free kicks (other than penalties) and kick offs, opposing players must be a minimum of five (5) metres from the ball.
  • There is no offside and the ball will be kicked in not thrown.
  • No slide tackles.
  • Other than the variations mentioned in rules 1-12, all other rules governing the game of soccer will apply.
  • Referees have the authority to suspend players from the field of play for periods ranging from two (2) minutes, to the remainder of the match, depending upon the severity of the offence, with red card dismissals incurring a further one week suspension.
  • No substitution will be permitted for suspended players.
  • All refereeing decisions will be final.
  • Where team colours clash, the team mentioned first on the fixture list will be required to change.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
  • This season team costs $550 (14 October 2010-16 December 2010)
  • A match card (provided by FUSC) must be completed for each fixture and handed to the referee prior to kick off.
  • A player can only play for one team per season.
  • Only players named on the teams nomination form can play.
  • Failure to comply with conditions 4 or 5 may result in the loss of league points.
  • A team failing to be ready to kick off five (5) minutes after the scheduled kick off time will forfeit the match 2- 0.
  • No alcohol is to be consumed outside of the licensed area.
  • Forrestfield United Soccer Club does not carry insurance for this competition, therefore, participation is at the players own risk.
  • Players must be fourteen (14) years and over to be eligible to play.
  • FUSC Six A Side committee reserves the right to refuse entry nomination forms and prevent players from participating in the competition.
