State League Division One

The Saturday teams vs Wanneroo City
SATURDAY 28 AUGUST 2010

Forrestfield United First Team suffered a heavy loss on Saturday when the Division One teams travelled to Wanneroo City for the State League clash. The First Team had been on a good run recently and a win would have secured fourth spot on the ladder and ensured a strong challenge for a promotion spot as the season nears the end. But all their hopes were ruined as a competitive Wanneroo won 3-1.

Forrestfield will be looking for a big improvement as this defeat drops the First Team to fifth spot on the ladder with just two matches to go.

The Reserves game was a close and even match with Forrestfield twice taking the lead in the first half only for a spirited Wanneroo City side to come back and level the game. A lack of available players was yet again to hurt Forrestfield as the team lost control of the game in the second half and Wanneroo ran out 4-2 winners.

The highlight of the day for Forrestfield was the continued great form of the 18’s team. Two goals each from Chris Perrott and Malcom Tshuma saw the Forrestfield side dominate Wanneroo City and record a fantastic 6-0 win. The State League 18’s team are now in second spot on the ladder only one point behind first placed Bayswater City.

Next week Forrestfield are at home to Morley Windmills.
